The MBA has long been known as a chain for the career progression, but most women executives consider there are too many obstructions to achieving the degree. Universities are retorting to their anxieties by introducing one-year programs and helping them attain work-life balance.
Although enrollment has been relatively flat at full-time MBA programs, the number of women applying for part-time MBA programs is significantly increasing. Women grabbed 19 percent of senior-level executive jobs at the top 75 public companies in Washington, based on market value. They hold just 15% of all board seats at those corporations.
Several prospective reasons are there for the deviation in woman. Authorities say – Some women still experience prejudice in the jobs. Others slow their career climb to focus on family. So many women are craving to start their own companies or occupation and ignoring the corporate world totally.
